Core idea
Instead of trading all three pairs in a triangle, which creates a neutral and hedged position, this strategy uses the triangle only to identify relative strength and trades one single pair with a directional edge.

The triangle
The three pairs used are EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and EUR/GBP.
They are mathematically linked, but not always perfectly aligned, and this misalignment creates opportunity.

Setup
Timeframe H1 is recommended, while H4 is more conservative.
Indicators used are EMA 50 for trend direction and RSI (14) for momentum filtering.

Step one: identify strength and weakness
Observe EUR/USD and GBP/USD.

Bullish setup
If EUR/USD is above EMA 50 and GBP/USD is below EMA 50, this indicates that EUR is stronger than GBP.

Bearish setup
If EUR/USD is below EMA 50 and GBP/USD is above EMA 50, this indicates that GBP is stronger than EUR.

Step two: entry on EUR/GBP
Wait for confirmation on EUR/GBP.

Entry conditions
Price must align with direction: above EMA 50 for buy or below EMA 50 for sell.
RSI should be between 50 and 65 for buy, or between 35 and 50 for sell.
Wait for a small pullback, followed by a continuation candle, before entering.

Trade management
Stop loss should be placed below the most recent swing low for buy, or above the most recent swing high for sell. Alternatively, a fixed stop between 20 and 40 pips can be used.
Take profit should be at least two times the stop loss distance, for a minimum risk-reward ratio of 2:1.
Risk per trade should not exceed one percent of account balance.

Filters
Do not trade if EUR/USD and GBP/USD move in the same direction.
Avoid trading in sideways markets where RSI is around 50.
Avoid trading during high-impact news events.

Checklist
EUR/USD and GBP/USD must show opposite trends.
EMA direction must be clear.
EUR/GBP must align with the trade direction.
RSI must not be extreme.
Wait for pullback and continuation before entry.

Final concept
The triangle itself is not the strategy; the imbalance within the triangle is the real opportunity.

10 EMA, 25 EMA, 50 EMA forex trading

Currency pairs: ANY

Time frame chart: 1 hour or 15 minute chart.

Indicators: 10 EMA (exponential moving average) RED, 25 EMA (exponential moving average) YELLOW, 50 EMA (exponential moving average) BLUE

Entry rules:

When 10 EMA goes through 25 EMA and continues through 50 EMA, BUY/SELL in the direction of 10 EMA once it clearly makes it through 50 EMA. (Just wait for the current price bar to close on the opposite site of 50 EMA. This waiting helps to avoid false signals).

Exit rules:

option1: exit when 10 EMA crosses 25 EMA again.

option2: exit when 10 EMA returns and touches 50 EMA (again it is suggested to wait until the current price bar after so called “touch” has been closed on the opposite side of 50 EMA).

Advantages: it is easy to use, and it gives very good results when the market is trending, during big price break-outs and big price moves.

Disadvantages: Fast moving average indicator is a follow-up indicator or it is also called a lagging indicator, which means it does not predict future market directions, but rather reflects current situation on the market.

This characteristic makes it vulnerable: firstly, because it can change its signals any time, secondly – because need to watch it all the time; and finally, when market trades sideways (no trend) with very little fluctuation in price it can give many false signals, so it is not suggested to use it during such periods.
